Powerstone Property Management Recognized as Company That Cares by Orange County Business Journal (OCBJ)

CEO Says Team Effort is Key to Fundraising Success and Strategic Philanthropy Program to Fund Research to Combat Childhood Cancer

IRVINE, CA (January 12, 2023) – Powerstone Property Management Inc., a full-service Orange County, California based property management firm, announced that the company has been selected by the Orange County Business Journal (OCBJ) as a Company That Cares. This is the third year that the OCBJ has accepted nominations of organizations that are making Orange County a better place to live and that have gone above and beyond for the OC community through philanthropic efforts and accomplishments. Powerstone has put its philanthropy efforts into supporting the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF). The recognition was noted in a special section of the OCBJ published in December of last year. CEO Rene’ Decker explains the relationship they have with PCRF: “In 2011 we were very strategic when we identified PCRF as our charity of record and have for over a decade held various events and participated in programs to help raise awareness and funding for important life-changing research. Over eleven years later we are extremely happy and proud to report that we have reached over $1,000,000 in total donations. I want to thank all our employees and corporate partners over the years that have helped us reach this amazing milestone.”

Jeri Wilson, Executive Director of PCRF said: “I have had the joy of working with Powerstone since they began their support of the Foundation, and I can tell you that these folks really know how to make a positive difference for children with cancer. Their events continue to raise awareness and needed funds, and their enthusiasm continues to grow and influence the lives of so many. For the Foundation, and the families we serve, we are truly grateful.”

Powerstone raises awareness and needed funds by creating events which include their corporate partners. Last year’s event for PCRF which was held in October drew over 400 people and included music, food, drinks, and a silent auction. Powerstone Director of Community Management, and Chairperson for the event, Kylie Decker stated: “I want to thank all our sponsors who donate needed funds, time, and energy to this important cause. Without them, we simply could not have reached such a significant milestone as $1,000,000.” She added: “This is such an important aspect of our corporate culture because it provides the opportunity for our employees to join in with each other and with our partners to support a great cause.  It really energizes our team.”
